Juan Leyton
Director of Community Building, NeighborWorks America
Juan Leyton joined NeighborWorks America's Community Initiatives team as Director, Community Building. He is the former Executive Director of the Dudley Street Neighborhood Initiative (DSNI) in Boston, Massachusetts, where he was recognized as a Barr Fellow. At DSNI he worked on the implementation of a major community planning process, advocated for the increase of affordable housing, arts space and the expansion of community land-trusts.
His past work experience includes working for the Local Enterprise Assistance Fund, MIT Community Innovators Lab (CoLab) and the Solidago Foundation. He also served as the Executive Director of Neighbor to Neighbor Massachusetts and City Life/ Vida Urbana in Boston.
Juan was an MIT Mel King Community Fellow. He holds Masters Degrees in Community Economic Development from Southern New Hampshire University and in Public Policy from Tufts University.
